Co2 Carbon Dioxide
Applications :
Carbon dioxide is naturally occurring chemical compound used in various industries such as chemical, oil, food & beverage, cleaning with the dry ice, as cooling medium, in fabrication processes etc. Common use is for carbonizing of the drinks (e.g. sparkling water) or as shielding gas for MAG (GMAW) welding technology. As for any other shielding gas welding, the shielding gas flow needs to be set very precisely. Too low flow is not enough to protect welding bath against negative influences of the surrounding atmosphere which can lead to potential defects in the weld. On the other hand also too high flow can cause defects due to related turbulences in the flow stream. It is recommended to use gas preheater on the pressure regulator when high flow is needed.
